As is common to all community projects, many local individuals, companies and volunteers are providing very valuable and generous time, services and in-kind donations to offset our costs. However, there are many costs which must be funded, including the sculpture itself, landscaping and site preparation and construction materials, all of which are essential to convert the site from its present use to a permanent memorial.
We are working to raise a total of $200,000 by June 2016. To date we have raised in excess of $138,500, which includes a generous funding contribution from Veterans Affairs Canada under their Cenotaph/Memorial program.
We urgently need your generous support to ensure we achieve our goals and make this important memorial a reality.
